Saginaw County Energy Upgrades
Dow Event Center Project
Saginaw County Energy Upgrades
Saginaw, Michigan

Owner: Saginaw County
Project Completed: September 2011

This project consisted of retrofitting and replacing existing light fixtures and installing an occupancy sensor lighting control system in eleven Saginaw County buildings: The County Jail, 911/Sheriff, Court House, a four-story County Office Building, The Dow Event Center, Commission on Aging, Circuit Court, Animal Shelter, Juvenile Center, and Mosquito Control.

Scheduling was critical on this project. Most work had to be completed on the second shift to ensure that each facility was open for business every morning. The County Jail was exceptionally challenging. Our electricians had to work with and amongst prisoners and law enforcement officers in a fully-functioning correctional facility. Electrical tools were inventoried-in and inventoried-out each day. Not one Master Electric employee was allowed on any county site until they had passed a background check and were issued an identification card.

Work in all eleven buildings was completed on schedule. No warranty issues were reported.
